Privacy policy

Template — pending legal review
This is a working template and not yet legal advice. It will be reviewed and finalised by qualified legal counsel before public launch.
This policy explains how your personal data is handled when you book an appointment through a studio that uses Booked. We keep the data we collect to the minimum needed to take and manage your booking.
Who is responsible for your data
The studio you book with is the data controller — it decides why and how your data is used. Booked. acts as the data processor, handling the data on the studio's behalf and under a data processing agreement. For any question about your data, contact the studio directly.
What we collect
When you book, we collect your name and mobile number (used to identify your booking and send reminders), an optional email address, and the details of your appointment — the service, the artist, and the date and time.
Health and allergy notes
If you share allergy or health information so a service can be delivered safely, that is special-category data. It is stored only with your explicit consent, kept to a minimum, never shown on public pages, and deleted when you withdraw consent.
Why we use it
Your data is used to take and manage your booking, to send you appointment confirmations and reminders, and to meet legal obligations such as keeping invoice records. We do not send your personal details to any AI assistant.
How long we keep it
Booking and contact data is kept while it is needed for your appointments and is then removed or anonymised after a period set by the studio. Invoice and payment records are kept for as long as tax law requires (around seven years in the Netherlands).
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete your data, or to receive a copy of it. Because the studio is the controller, please send these requests to the studio you booked with; they will handle them, with Booked. supporting where needed.
Questions
For questions about this policy or about your data, contact the studio you booked with. Studios can reach Booked. through their account for help with any request.
